While there are plenty of poker books and magazines dedicated to poker, few mainstream media outlets routinely devote sections to poker.
In a testament to the growing popularity of poker, the New York Times will soon publish a weekly poker column. James McManus, author of Positively Fifth Street, will pen this column for the NYT.
The column will be geared towards both beginner and experienced poker players. The column will be featured weekly on Saturdays in the sports section.
