Overview
Gnuf is a new online poker room and a member of the medium-sized Prima Poker Network. A wide range of stakes and games are offered at this site. This is one of the few sites to offer both Five Card Draw and Five Card Stud, however, these games are not very popular.
Bonus
Currently new players can enjoy a 100% deposit up to $50. Details on how to clear this bonus are not currently available on the Gnuf website.
Promotions
Gnuf is currently sending players to a WPT Boot Camp in the Bahamas.
They also have a bad beat jackpot where four of a kind 8s or better must lose in order to qualify. However, the jackpot may only be won if the hand takes place at a bad beat jackpot table. These tables are not very popular since an additional rake is taken to supplement the progressive pot.
Tournaments
In general, there are better sites out there for tournament players. Their sit-'n'-go offerings are great thanks to their "Rounders" tournaments. These tournaments give players the chance to take an $11 buy-in and climb a ladder up to a four-figure payout. However, their multi-table tournament schedule is littered with small buy-in events that fail to draw more than a couple hundred players.
Each Sunday the Prima Network holds a $100+$9 tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000.
Software
The Prima Poker software is fairly basic, but smooth and functional. Gnuf's color scheme is among the most visually appeasing on the network. One thing I have always found annoying about this software is the oversized chat box on the right side of the table interface. However, there are four different table-size options to choose from, two of which do not contain the eye-sore chat box. One nice feature of this software is that when playing multiple games, the tables can be toggled within one window as opposed having a separate window for every open table. This site also has a no-download-required interface.
Competition Level
The Prima network used to be widely regarded as one of the softest places to enjoy online poker. Lately the games have gotten a little harder. The small stakes no-limit games are incredibly soft and popular on this network.
Customer Service
From an availability standpoint, this site has great customer service. They still offer phone support, which is a dying commodity in online poker. Most support issues will by handled by Gnuf representatives. However, in some instances, the software provider, Prima Poker, may intervene. Some players have complained that Prima Poker's support can be frustrating to deal with since they sometimes act unreasonably when handling an issue.
